Join seasoned session musician Mark Currie for an engaging introduction to the bodhrán, rooted in the traditional Kerry style. Since picking up the instrument in 1988, Mark has developed a distinctive rhythmic voice shaped by his background as a highland piper and lifelong love of traditional music. In this beginner-friendly workshop, Mark will guide you through the basics of holding, tuning, and playing the bodhrán, with a focus on foundational rhythms and musicality. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity (and a bodhrán if you have one)!
