Our Thursday night concert has evolved into a festive celebration of Highland music and dance. Enter three siblings who are sure to delight! Troy is an accomplished, award‑winning fiddler and piano player. Kendra is a two‑time East Coast Music Award–winning Celtic fiddler. And Sabra is an accomplished dancer and a two‑time world finalist at the World Highland Dancing Championships in Dunoon, Scotland. The siblings rarely get the chance to perform together; and have promised to fill the hall with the music and dance of the Scottish Highlands they first heard in their childhood home in Antigonish County. Together, with expert accompaniment from Malcolm MacNeil, they’ll carry on the legacy of their storied grandfather, Hugh A. MacDonald.

The MacGillivray’s – Troy, Kendra and Sabra – bring together three of Nova Scotia's finest tradition-bearers for an unforgettable celebration of Cape Breton and Scottish music and dance. Raised in families where fiddle music, Gaelic culture and dance were part of everyday life, each has forged an acclaimed international career while remaining deeply connected to the traditions of Eastern Nova Scotia. Multi-award-winning fiddlers Troy and Kendra are celebrated for their powerful musicianship, rhythmic drive and deep respect for the region's distinctive style, while Sabra, a former World Highland Dance Champion, is recognised as one of Canada's leading step dancers and choreographers. Together, they have performed across North America, Europe, Asia and beyond, earning awards, teaching new generations of musicians and dancers, and representing Nova Scotia on some of the world's most prestigious stages. Opening ReJigged Festival 2026, this rare family collaboration promises an evening of fantastic fiddle tunes, dancing and the unmistakable spirit of Cape Breton.
