Morning Children's Gaelic Program

from 10.00

Date: Saturday, October 20
Session 1: 9:00 a.m. - 11:45p.m.
Location: Check in at Christ Church
Instructor: Beth Anne MacEachen and Leanne Aucoin
Level: 5 - 12 year old children

Fàilte oirbh! While you are taking a morning or afternoon workshop, we'll introduce your child to the Gaelic language and culture — the heart of Nova Scotia's Celtic music and dance traditions. Gaelic, a Celtic language closely related to Irish, has been spoken natively in Nova Scotia since the 18th century and continues to be spoken today both here and in Scotland.

Beth Anne MacEachen, who teaches Gaelic at Citadel High, and Leanne Aucoin who is a musician, recording artist, and teacher, will lead children through 2 3/4 hours of kid-friendly activities, including games, songs, crafts, stories and maybe a dance or two, all through the medium of Gaelic! Your child will have a great time while you attend the workshop of your choice!
