Seán Feeney

A recent arrival to Hailfax, Seán is a multi-instrumentalist from the village of An Spidéal in South Conamara. Hailing from this area which is steeped in Irish language, music and tradition allowed for exposure to some of the country’s finest musicians. Influenced by the accordion playing of his father from an early age, he was then fortunate enough to be taught by some of the masters of their instruments, tin whistle with Mary Bergin and banjo with Enda Scahill. A familiar face in the session scene around Galway, Seán’s banjo and guitar playing has placed him with various outfits at festivals around Ireland & Europe.
