An inspiring singer, songwriter and string player from Scotland, Andy Webster has been described as one of his generation's leading instrumentalists. Webster’s powerful and varied guitar and bouzouki playing has backed many leading acts, including Dougie MacLean MBE and several JUNO-award winners. His most recent project has been working on guitar parts with members of Ontario’s most famous Celtic band, Leahy.
Andy’s music has led him to stages in France, Italy, Belgium, Estonia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, England, Wales, the USA and Canada. His compositions have been selected for compilation albums across Europe and have seen much radio play worldwide. Andy currently resides in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, where he performs and teaches regularly.
